What’s Your Biggest Challenge - Results
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.
First let me say that you all renewed my faith in my blogging. A while ago I read on ProBlogger how being a “people person” was essential to being a great blogger.
I know I don’t usually get very many comments on my posts, and I chalked it up to the fact that I’m a geek at heart and more of a computer person than a people person.
But now I know it’s not true, you don’t have to be a people person to get a conversation going, you just have to ask a straight-forward question…and offer bribes of course.
Let’s get to the answers to my post: What’s Your Biggest Challenge? Win a Prize.
The List of Challenges
I took what I believe to be the essence of each of the responses, since it was interesting to see the same things coming up over and over.
I do have comments and possible solutions for at least some of the challenges, and I’ll present them as separate posts in the next few days.
Here’s the list:
- Lack of motivation and willpower
- time and determination
- more time and more technical knowledge
- Not seeing the big picture and trying to do it all myself
- sheer laziness
- MORE TIME
- true and sincere commitment
- not having Jon Symons working for me
- lack of focus
- lack of knowledge in technical issues
- fear of failing and not having the courage to go for it on my own
- Time!
- Traffic.
- thinking small
If I had to respond to them all en masse, I’d ask you to consider something:
What if we turned the traditional concept of a problem or challenge upside down? What if you thought of yourself as a complete genius with the power to create anything you want in your life?
The question I would ask you then is….
“What benefit are your receiving from allowing this challenge to exist in your life?”
In most cases the only thing keeping us from attaining our dreams is that we derive a greater benefit from not reaching them than we would if we reached them.
In a lot of cases having time freedom, or money freedom comes with more responsibility and pressure. I know from my own life, that wanting to remain attached to my immature notions of “freedom” has lead me to be unwilling to move into activities that would make me more successful.
We have a fantasy that lots of money would equal less problems or lack of pressure, but I don’t personally believe that to be the case. Therefore the root cause, at least in my case, of not having abundance and prosperity, is an unwillingness to grow up and accept the inner expansion and personal growth that would allow it to happen.
The Winners
If you won, I’ll be in touch via email to get your details about where to ship the DVD.
The question post was really fun for me, so you can look forward to more chances to win, maybe we’ll do one every week for a while.

You don’t have to be a “people person” to be a good blogger. I do, however believe you need to be a good writer to be a good blogger.
Unfortunately, there are a LOT of bloggers who don’t seem to realize this. Which is why you’re on my bookmarks list instead of them.
