The Brad and Andy Show
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.
For a while I was subscribed to every Internet marketing guru newsletter I could get my hands on. One day I decided to get ruthless and hit the unsubscribe link for everything that came in that didn’t seem worthwhile.
One of about 3 that survived the cut was Brad Fallon’s list. What I like about Brad is that he does real online business - as opposed to “Internet marketing” that is really just about selling you stuff about “Internet marketing”. He is the creator of a site called My Wedding Favors that is somewhat legendary in SEO [search engine optimization] circles.
To make a short story long I received an email from Brad and his partner Andy Jenkins yesterday announcing a series of screen capture videos that they decided to create to illustrate the success they were able to create with the My Wedding Favors site [sales in excess of 500k a month].
The first one is quite basic but high quality information and I found it quite a worthwhile refresher on topics like:
- organic or natural search optimization
- long tail techniques
- eye mapping and tracking for optimization
- why buying PPC ads are a bad idea
- some cool testing tips to improve conversion
It’s good foundation type info if you are trying to do business online. You can watch the video here. If you want to be notified when the next video is released you can sign up to receive an email announcement.
Suspiciously absent…is any form of product or sales pitch, it seems like a miracle
but I didn’t get pitched anything…they really must be making money off of that Wedding Favors site!

MBB added these pithy words on Aug 27 06 at 9:13 pmSurely you realize that the pitch to leave your email address *is* the pitch.
Unlike crude (and generally unsuccessful) internet marketers who attempt to close sales the first time somebody lands on their web page, these guys are delivering some value…
and they’re also hooking you in to give them your contact info.
That starts a chain of emails that eventually include sales pitches for their products.
Heck… They even tell you in this video that only *after* you watch the whole series of videos will they tell you how you can duplicate their results.
What’ya wanna bet that the way you duplicate their success is to buy something from them?
There’s nothing wrong with what they’re doing. It just demonstrates that there’s a whole lot more to successful Internet Marketing than putting up an order page, driving some traffic, and waiting for ClickBank to send you money.
