Monday Morning Notes: Carnivals - Relationships - Rich Dad & WP 2.1

A Monday morning Speedlinking post:
1.) Carnival of Cities
I always wanted to start a blog carnival and now that I have a city blog network, it seems only natural that there would be a Carnival of Cities.
I like to call it an armchair travelers dream come true, since the first edition features unique insights from all over the world. It is open to anyone with a post that features an aspect of a city (so you don’t have to be a Home Turf Media blogger to participate).
Check out All Around the World, edition #1 of the Carnival of Cities. Thanks to Sheila (who has runs the excellent Family Travel site) for doing a great job putting the carnival together. If you’d like to participate in upcoming editions you can submit an article via our page on Blog Carnival.
2.) Relationship Bloggers Conference in Chicago
My friend Liz from Successful Blog is putting together a blogging conference in Chicago in June. It’s not for bloggers who blog about relationships, it’s about how to create relationships with your readers and have a great blog. Liz is probably the best I’ve ever seen at this key aspect of blogging, so I’m sure the event will be fantastic.
I’m not sure if I’ll be attending (I just heard about it today) but I know I would love to.
3.) By the Time I Get to Phoenix
I’ll be in Phoenix from March 8 - 12, for the second annual Rich Dad Forum Members Meetup. A bunch of us (from as far away as South Africa) get together and hang out at Rich Dad headquarters in Phoenix.
We try and share our knowledge and make deals and try not to get into too much trouble. I’ll be doing a short presentation about creating information products.
It looks like there are still a few spots available, if you want to join in - everyone is welcome.
4.) WordPress 2.1
Over the weekend I upgraded Art of Money to WordPress 2.1, so if you notice anything broken or looking a bit funky, please let me know. I think everything went well, but my Internet connection cut out right in the middle of uploading the new files, so I had hope that they all made it intact.
That’s it, have a great Monday. It was supposed to be speedlinking, but at least there’s links
Jon

Hi there - I came across your website when using mybloglog. It is a great website - I really like your layout, and your articles. Would you be interested in swapping links, as I think we have blogs that complement each other. My blog is http://www.ifyawant.com. If you are interested, just leave a comment on my blog.
Thanks,
Shirlene
Hmm… looks like I better get my registration in, only a few spots left!
