Product of the Week
=============================================
Trafficopia.
Trafficopia is a simple website script that allows you to run a
traffic selling company. Essentially it allows you to do what
Google’s Adwords and Adsense do.
The Trafficopia script allows you to sign up customers and have them
create their own ads. You then place their ads on relevant sites and
the client is charged per click.
This is far from a get rich quick scheme since it requires the
ability to control large amounts of traffic to be able to sell it.
However, this business has some really great aspects: it really is
passive income once you have your network of sites set up and, unlike
AdSense, you have real customers, so you are much more in control of
your business.

I own a copy of Trafficopia and I’m in the process of planning my
content site network and I also won a copy so I’m going to be having
a contest and giving away my extra copy in the near future…if you
have an idea for something that would make a cool contest, let me
know.

Jon’s Business Update
=============================================
Well I did manage to successfully shift gears from pre-launch to
official launch phase of my first product.
Including the pre-launch I’ve sold 10 copies of the Real Blog Videos
which I think is pretty great.
Considering I’ve had only 320 visitors to the sales page that works
out to a 3.1% conversion rate, which is probably right up there with
the pros.
An interesting thing about my traffic logs is that there are many
people that return over and over to the sales page. I know I do that
too when I am buying something and haven’t quite made up my mind 100%
yet.
That is why you often see an auto responder sign-up on sales pages so
the marketer can send you gentle nudges back to the page.
Like I mentioned on my site [ http://tinyurl.com/rdyfl ] this week it
was really cool to see that other people were promoting the product by
purchasing AdWords and using the affiliate link on their sites. The
sweet taste of leveraging other people’s time and money.
So the next step is two fold, to write articles to promote the site
and to begin on product number two. I also have a couple ideas for
using Google videos and YouTube for promotion.
Rich Dude says one article a week submitted using his
http://www.artemispro.com/ tool and then spend the rest of the time
working on new products is the magic formula…I’ll sprinkle at
little effort into creating my traffic selling network as well.
I’m hoping to release product number 2 in: 8 days 5 hours and 58
minutes according to the cool countdown clock on my desktop:

Struggle of the Week
==================
My struggle of the week could also be the struggle of the last year
or more. Having people that would like to work with me and not quite
knowing how to set things up properly.
There are a ton of tasks that I’d like to have done to speed up my
business, but on the other hand I don’t have the money to be able to
pay someone to do them.
The thing that always seems like the answer is to form a partnership
and give a percentage, but this can be very costly too.
You can end up giving a percentage of your business away to someone
who doesn’t really care about it like you do, so they are often not
as passionate as you.
I guess what I’m coming to is if I want someone to work for me, I’d
better be able to pay them and if I can’t afford to pay them, then
wait until I can.
I’m sure there are times when a partnership can work, but I think
most are doomed to failure. There would need to be an almost magical
synergy of talents. It’s getting clearer to me that entering into a
partnership is not a good solution to getting things done without
paying money, but like I said this one is a struggle for me at the
moment and tomorrow I may change my mind completely
Okay, I think that’s it for this week.
Thanks for reading and good luck with your passive income ventures,
Jon

Rich Dude gave my product launch a nice big push by mentioning it on
his site: http://tinyurl.com/hpvme
It was very good for traffic and he didn’t use the affiliate link,
which means I got the entire amount for the couple sales that came
directly from his site.
I wrote a story [ http://tinyurl.com/gbzxx ] to promote my Real Blog
Videos and submitted it to one of Problogger’s group writing
projects. I resulted in quite a bit of traffic to my new
http://www.jonjsymons.com/ site.
