Inbox Purge - The IM Guru Edition

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

Speedlinking of info that I haven’t gotten to, but are worth a quick mention.

  • Rich Schefren is releasing a new Internet Business Manifesto report. It will be called The Attention Age Doctrine (I haven’t had a look yet, but I enjoyed the manifesto) but you can reserve a copy by depositing, you guessed it, your e-mail address.
  • John Reese has given up using affiliate links. He doesn’t need the money apparently.
  • Scott Boulch, of Click Flipping fame, has started a new campaign. It promises no product or sales (but then again so did Click Flipping & The Death of AdSense as I recall). Either way, you can download the free e-book called The Quick and the Dead. I gave it a quick scan and there is some worthwhile information in there.

The theme I’m seeing in all the Internet marketing pitches lately is the need for market research. This indicates to me that it is getting more competitive in the world of trying to make money online; at least for the opportunity seekers who are more interesting in quick money as opposed to building a long term online business.

[BTW. If you get on any of these guys' lists, I recommend (to preserve your own Inbox sanity) grab a new Gmail account and use it for any list that is not key to your central business. Then you can check it once or twice a week and not worry about the rest of the time. At a certain point just delete it or abandon it and start over again.]

Update: Just in this morning a reminder from Ducan Carver about a project that I have been watching. The project hasn’t had an update for a while, but if you visit his worm farming project blog and go through his archives from the beginning there is some pretty good information about setting up a niche site that is monetized with an e-book.

Update 2: The link to Rich Schefren’s free report is now working :)

  1. Why not use http://www.spammotel.com/ then you can get an individual address for each and stop forwarding the messages from the overly offensive spamers.

  2. I don’t know what to say. I agree with Brian.
