Great Failures of the Extremely Successful is a book by Steve Young that caught my attention. Below is an excerpt of an interview with the author, explaining the book’s premise.
It is a theme from Rich Dad’s books as well: the need to re-frame the word “failure” from a negative connotation, to one of a stepping stone to success.
If you granted me one wish, it would be to completely let go of my fear of failure.
I know that the false meaning we associated with the pain and embarrassment of failure, primarily through a completely messed up school system, is a cause of great unhappiness and angst in most adults.

Jon,
Great timing.
I was re-reading Anthony Robbins’ Awaken The Giant Within and he writes “any extremely successful person you meet will tell you - if they’re honest with you - that the reason they’re more successful is that they’ve made more poor decisions than you have.”
Well, I’m not “extremely” successful but I do know that compared to less fortunate friends and family members, I’ve made WAY more mistakes and had WAY more failures.
Comes with doing WAY more.
Going back to editing the novel, the notes from the publisher an example of my WAY more mistakes.
LOL
