The links above are the highlights of my quest. You can find all 17 posts I’ve done this month to document the $100 a day blogging project and some notes and links to upcoming ideas on this page.

Summary of the Month

Overall I think it was a very successful start to my goal. It was the most inspired I’ve ever been which really surprised me. I had always believed that I needed to be free to write about anything, or I’d run out of ideas, but it seems like the opposite is true.

By focusing on one small aspect of the topic of “money” a depth of exploration of the topic has opened up in me. This was by far the easiest month I’ve ever had in terms of story ideas and ease of creating, if I do say so myself, quality posts.

Focus = power. I like the formula and hope to stick too it.

I also began to think that if I can pull off my goal of $100 a day blogging that it would make a good e-book, so I grabbed the domain http://www.100adayblogging.com/ and pointed it to the project page on this site (that way the domain will pick up a little Page Rank and if/when I decide to launch a sales page, I can just change the redirect to point to the sales page and it should have some trust and traffic.)

Goals for June

For monetization, I’m considering signing up for “Review Me.” I have always resisted pay per post schemes, but review me seems to be positioned as one that has integrity. We’ll see if I can actually find something that I will want to review.

Besides that the biggest problem I had this month was time. Meaning I loved writing to you guys all the tips and stuff I was doing to monetize my site, but I found it was taking so much time writing about what I was doing that I only got a small fraction of the things implemented that I planned on.

What it boils down to is that it will take me twice as long to actually make the $100 a day if I write about each little step as I go. To put it in perspective I posted 25 posts in May, and 17 of them were documenting the project. Now they are related, but I’d like to get to work on my primary focus of targeting ‘make money online‘ opportunity seekers.

Of course if you are reading and paying attention, you’ll see what I’m up to as I do it, and just so you don’t feel abandoned, I’ll do my best to keep a draft post going and make notes of all the steps I’ve taken during the week and post this re-cap once a week.

That’s it for the May re-cap. Is there anything that I’ve done that you’d like me to explain? Any other questions for this project? Do you have any tips for how I can accelerate my drive to $100 a day blogging?

Jon
