Blog Tag Line: Help! Art of Money Needs One

The first order of business for my site re-design is to come up with a tag line that gives a new reader a taste of what the site is about; since “Art of Money” doesn’t really say much about what to expect.

The other purpose of a tag line is to help me, your author focus on what is important to write about and what you’d like to see more of on this site.

I’d prefer it to be short and sweet like some of these examples.

Please help me decide. You’re allowed one vote per IP address [I think] so if you want to sway the vote you’ll have to go to lots of Internet cafes, use a proxy or mobilize all your friends [recommended icon wink Blog Tag Line: Help! Art of Money Needs One ].

If you think of one on your own that you think is superior, leave it in the comments…there will be a prize if yours gets picked over all the ones in the pole!

  1. No they arent! This would be too long: “Stumbling towards on line riches, sometimes winning, somtimes losing, but overall learning as I stumble towards online riches.” lol Maybe Kimber and I can brainstorm, as your resident PR and marketing friends… I personally love your taglines at the end of your posts- they are starting to be your trademark- maybe you can work off of that or tie it in: “Stumbling towards online riches so you don;t have to.” Wait- that doesnt sound quite right….

  2. How about “Building my own future online so you don’t have to”.
You could subsitute business, life, retirement, financial freedom or the like for “future” and the tag would be just as good.

  3. Okay, dudes and dudettes,

    Two considerations…
    - How does any of these taglines play into the rather wonderful domain name?
    - Do you really want to link to another brand (Rich Dad) that you a) have no control over and b) could sue your a$$ for copyright infringement?

    So think art, art, art…

    Creating On-line Businesses
    A Paint-By-Numbers Approach to On-line Business
    Wealth Creation Through On-line Businesses

That should start the brain storming off…

  4. How about a play on Jon’s past business in framing?
“Framing my future online so you don’t have to”
That might be reaching a little, but I like the you don’t have to bit.

  5. Kimber…I like the Paint By Numbers approach to On-line Business…that’s fun. I will have to take a look at exactly which phrases the Robert Kiyosaki has trademarked.

  6. Good point Kimber.

I’ll take another stab at it.

    Exploring the Beauty of Business
Drawing the Picture of Financial Freedom
Painting The Picture of Financial Freedom
Financial Freedom Illustrated (would be nice if you did cartoons)

  7. I don’t like any in the poll.

    How about:

    - How I stopped worrying and started making money

    - Take the plunge to be your own boss

    - Be the master of money, not its slave

    - Going from money slavery to money mastery

    - Follow my transformation and become rich too

  8. mmm…thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I thought running a poll would help me narrow the choices!

    :)

I’ll probably wait until Monday to do a followup on this, but it doesn’t look like a poll is a good idea, not enough votes to be meaningful.

It just isn’t very Web 2.0 of you guys to force me to make my own decisions!
