What’s the toughest advert to get clicks on?
If you’ve been around the block on the web for a while, you’d probably say, “banner ad.”
And you’d be right.
So how do you get someone to click on a banner ad?
Pre-sell it of course.
Take the pre-sell page concept and condense it to the micro level.
Here’s a brilliant example. Just start reading at the top of the page.

Well Done Affiliate Marketing Formula
If we take the analysis of this ad and expand it out a bit further to take a look at the whole website you have a brilliant and easy way to make money online.
1. Create a classic linkbait page. In this case “9 Superpowers made real by modern technology”
2. Put an ad front and center that would be of interest to Diggers (your target audience) and pre-sell the ad. The page is so plain that they pretty much have to read your pre-sell to understand what the page is about.
Since the copy is so well written, you’re hooked in before you even realize you’re reading an ad.
3. Provide tons of cool and valuable content so the Diggers will be happy.
4. Then the secret weapon…did you find it?
Here’s a hint…Diggers are web savvy, what do they do if they see a URL like this:
http://www.autoadviceoffl.com/superpowers/
…they hack it down of course, to find out what the hell, autoadviceoffl.com could be (maybe it’s porn, after all…worth a look).
when you go to http://www.autoadviceoffl.com/
Blammo, hit them with a lead capture form squeeze page for an “irresistible offer” on some topic also well targeted to Digg users (cars).
I’ll bet that every time someone drops their phone number into that form it’s worth about $25 bucks to the affiliate.
